Meeting up with Cousin Pat!
The one thing Bud and I like to do on our trips is catch up with friends and relatives that we don't get to see because they live away!!! So we were able to catch up with our cousin Pat and her room mate Toni! We chose Richburg to meet in and they have a cafe called Country Omlette! The food was delicious and the visit delicious!! We visited for two hours then had to leave! It was not enough time, never us, but the time was priceless! What made that 45 minute drive even better, is the fact that Mikey and Devan ride with us and we were sble to visit with them that much longer. We drove back to Charlotte and dropped them off at their house and the road beckoned once again, this day to Knoxville Tennessee!
U.S. White Water Park
Right there in Charlotte, NC on the outskirts of town is a wonderful water park! But not the kind with slides, this one has man made rivers with your rapidly flowing Rapids for rubber rafts with guides or kayaks! They also have large bodies of water, lake like for just gliding over or practicing your strokes! They have a rock climbing wall, zip lines by the water or in the woods, canopy walking, mountain biking trails, hiking trails and down on the river, they rent paddle boards and kayaks! Mikey took us there and Devan visited us at lunch! Yes they have a wonderful restaurant where you can sit outside and watch all the action while eating some delicious food!
