Flying in a JetPlane/Dublin

We woke up at 6:30am on Thursday! Flying out to Dublin, Ireland at 3:45pm. I did one load of laundry and we went to the mall near the hotel (the shuttle driver took us to the mall, no charge! I found a pair of black jeans for the trip! I am checking us in on our flights on the hotels computer and printer!

Thank you Travis for downloading the Christmas Movies for me! Watched Christmas in Connecticut on the flight between JFK and Frankfurt! It was lovely, so lovely!

Bud and I took the bus down into the old part of Dublin! We met a couple staying at the same hotel and we decided to take the Double Decker bus tour of Dublin with them. It was very cold outside! Bud and I when we got on the bus didn't have the right amount of change: 2.60 euros, so we were getting off the bus so we could go get change, but a lady on the bus came to the front and paid our fare! We offered her the 10.00 euros that Bud had in his hand but she wouldn't take it, so now I will be looking for some one to pay it forward in Ireland before we leave the country! God Bless her and her family!

And old brick houses and apartments and hotels...

This was a cute frontage of a hotel and restaurant!

And everywhere we look there is another pub with an Irish name...

And the old buildings are so beautiful and the statues are awesome...

Driving around in the bus, we saw many cute streets filled with families, couples and one person at a time...

And lots of cars, although not as bad as Portland...

This is Penny's, I didn't know they had a JC Penney Stores?

 A beautiful old building!

Look at the buildings, business below and people living up on top

The colors they use are bright and they love a brightly painted door..

Well you know McDonalds has to be everywhere!!!

 St Patrick's Cathedral!

 Hey Cassidy about this namesake?

People eating, meeting, laughing, running for buses, vying for a seat...

 Busy Busy streets!

Now what was sad is we past all these pubs, adorable pubs, and we chose to go back to the hotel and eat because it was getting dark! We didn't want to get lost because we would still be out there trying to find our way back to the Hilton! You will never guess what we had for dinner? I am embarrassed to tell you what we ate! But we will be eating in Pubs for now on beginning tomorrow when we ride away from Dublin to the rural country!

Ok I will tell you but I am going to whisper so no one else but you will know...

kfc they had no mashed potatoes just french fries :(

  1. KFC??? I won't tell a soul! Dublin pubs look so much like the ones here, so we are doing a good job of copying! :). So far the people sound nice and so you'll fit right in. :). Love you!

    1. Thanks Misty! I know the pubs in the US are getting cuter and cuter! I felt guilty eating at KFC! Tonight we ate in a pub in Kinsale south of Cork, we had fish and chips!
