Morning in Kinsale, fixing problems, Ring Of Kerry
This morning we woke up and all we could think about was breakfast first and then the car. How much was it going to cost, not breakfast cause that was included in the rate, but the tire fix. We went downstairs and the cereal, crusty bread, cheese and meats were laid out. So we filled out plates and took a table by the window with the beautiful view! Then I ordered pancakes, which are just like crepes, and Bud ordered Irish Oatmeal, which he said was like Quaker Oats!
We then drove about 1/2 mile to the tire repair shop. When the mechanic looked at the tire, he said the screw was a big one and he might not be able to fix it, We might have to buy a tire :( But he was able to fix it so he put it where the spare goes and we paid him 10.00 euros. We drove to the Cork Airport and Bud explained the situation that the window washer fluid just pored out and the Hertz guy said he would give us a new car, it is a Suzuki! And it is a nice car, lots of bells and whistles and it is an automatic. We put our luggage in and we took off, on our way to Kenmare on the Ring of Kerry!
So we went of the Highway 40 west bound...
Then we entered Kenmare but our room wasn't ready so we drove down along the scenic road called The Ring of Kerry. On our way to Sneem...
We were getting kind of hungry, and I saw a sign for Chicken Hot Pies so we went into a little cafe and I had the Hot Pie, which is like our Pot Pie, and it was delish! Bud had a sausage roll, sort of a pastry on the outside and bratwurst on the inside, he said mine was the better choice! More on Ring of Kerry next post!
