But we made it to the 6th Floor Museum where Lee Harvey Oswald shot and killed our President of the United States, JFK. It was such a sad day for Americans and lots of other people in lots of other countries. We all remember exactly where we were when it happened and it took our breath away. He was only in office 1000 days but he made sure a big impact on us even at such a young age.To see where it happened brought it all back again. To see the street where they drove JFK and Jackie and the place of impact. Different views different opinions on what happened, but the reality was JFK was gone. We would not see all the things he would do and become.
The picture up above is the 7th floor window that is right above the 6th floor window where Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK. We couldn't take pictures from the 6th floor. The two road pictures are pictures of JFK's path.
After we saw the 6th Floor Museum we walked to find a taxi to take us to George W Bush's Presidential Library and Museum. Dallas would be difficult to drive in! Bud was able to flag one down and he was an honest taxi driver by the name of Daniel, we had him come back in an hour to pick us up! He was from Ethiopia and very nice and knowledgeable. The library was very nicely done and we enjoyed the displays.
