Hot Springs National Park

We decided to spend the night in the town where people use to take to the baths for medicinal purposes and maybe because it was so relaxing and it felt good to soak in hot mineral water. We are staying at the very old and historic Arlington Hotel! It is old and kind of run down a wee bit but you can tell she was a classy lady when she was younger! The toilet is the kind you find in public restrooms where you flush by stepping on the handle, you know the commercial kind! I drive up the mountain, actually a hill, and found the Tower that you can go up in an elevator, we decided not too. We met a nice older couple up at the picnic hounds and view point. They were so nice and lived in the area for 3 years. One of their sons bought a house with an apartment with the uscwhich they live in. They take care of their two grandchildren when needed. We are going to stop by their other sons restaurant in St Louis on the way home! They gave us blessings when we left, so very thoughtful!
The trees are getting their leaves so green is the color! We walked around town and I read an advertisement board outside the cafe, dinner buffet $11.99 each! The owner said they were taking the buffet down but he could fill two plates and bring it to us! We said yes and sat down!! It was delicious southern foods! His name is Terry Wilburn and he said he use to tour and sing in concerts The food was good and so was he!
