Ever since I can remember, back in my 20's when I started reading Agatha Christie and started reading English murder mystery stories, I have wanted to see Brighton. The Royalty use to go down and stay for part of the summer. They would stay in the Brighton Pavilion until Queen Victoria sold it, but don't worry The country bought it back a short time later. What was she thinking? Remember she was only 18 when she took over the controls of England as Queen! The Prince Regent later known as King George IV built the Pavilion in stages between 1787 and 1823. It is built inthe exotic Oriental and the outside is from India. He visited Brighton when he was 21 years old and loved it. His uncle Prince Henry Duke of Cumberland resided here and loved the cuisine, gaming, the theatre and fast living, like the Prince Regent did! He also liked Brighton because he was far away from his father the King who lived in London. There will be three pictures of the Pavilion because it wouldn't take in just one!

Then we had our picture taken together!
We couldn't take pictures of the inside it was against the rules and there were staff all over the place everywhere!
Then we walked around Brighton to The Lanes a cute shopping area with brick streets and no traffic!
Then we went down to the Sea!!!! Next Post!
