William Shakespear's House

William Shakespeare is considered by many to be the greatest playwright of all time. Many facts about his life remain shrouded in mystery. He lived during the reign of Elizabeth I and James I and coined hundreds of phrases we still use today. He was born near April 24, 1565 to John Shakespeare a glovemaker and wool merchant and to Mary Arden, a daughter of a well to do landowner. He was married at 18 years of age to Anne Hathaway who was 26 years of age. She was 6 months pregnant when they were married. She was the daughter of a local farmer. They were married on November 28 1582. They had a daughter, Susanna and then two years later she had twins, Hamnet and Judith. Hamnet died when he was 11 years old.
