Bethlehem Church of the Nativity

Bethlehem is a Palestinian City and we had to go through a checkpoint to get to it. Years ago, Palestinian suicide bombers were coming out of Bethlehem into Jerusalem and killing Israelites So a checkpoint was installed to go in and out of Bethlehem, it has stopped the terrorists from killing people. Our guide was going to have to step aside while a Palestinian guide came on the bus to take us to the Church of the Nativity. But the Palestinians knew our guide and the like him so he was allowed to take us himself:)
Moishe told us the night before we were going to get to the church early so we could get a better chance of seeing it before the crowds. It worked sort of. We had to wait a couple hours inside because there are three church service in the morning every day. Sometimes they allow tourists to go through during the services but not today. But once we were able to go downstairs it was so awesome to see the cave where Jesus was most likely born in! The pictures will show us waiting then pictures of the cave and manger.

Here are a couple of pictures of Bethlehem.
