Sorrento: A Place of Beauty

After we left Pompeii we aimed our car towards Sorrento. It is such a beautiful drive along high roads and cliffs all the way down to the blue of the Mediteranean Sea. There are millions of people that live in this area. It is not rural and it is not in the country. There are no open spaces, just house after house, business after business, car after care and scooters galore! Busy Busy Busy and so very beautiful. And I am saying that with a French accent because the French love this place although every nationality is here. The women are so pretty and the men are gorgeous and even the older women dress with flare and with their sunglasses on from the rear even the passionate Italian men look intense at the backsides and then when they get a look at the face they are surprised with wrinkles! It is fun to watch this play after play. Our hotel is wonderful and exceeded my expectations! The Hotel Cristina is on a hill over looking the Bay of Naples, Naples and the surrounding towns along the bay. The white of the buildings against the blue of the sea is awesome and I never tired of seeing it! I love my balcony and the restaurant with the same views and the swimming pool even high on the 6th floor the same wonderful views. We are here for 3 nights and I am so happy to be here!

On the first day we do not get here till 6:00pm. We went up to the pool because it closes at 7pm but we stayed till 7:30p then went down and got ready for dinner. It was delicious. I had Chicken Marsala with potatoes and spinach. YUM! And we sat outside on the patio overlooking...you got it...the Sea!

In the morning we are breakfast, it came with the room. Again we ate outside on the patio deck. I have my cornflakes every morning and bread and juice and panna cotta which is so good, it is actually a dessert!

e then took the shuttle bus down to Sorrento to get a Ferry across the Mediteranean Sea to the Isle of Capri! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
