Egypt-Giza Pyramid-Dream Became Real!

Finally we get to the Giza Pyramids. It was like a tease for two days, get close, go somewhere else, see it in the distance, go somewhere else, now we go!

Walk Like an Egyptian (The Bangles)

All the old paintings on the tombs
They do the sand dance don't you know
If they move too quickly (oh whey oh)
They're falling down like a domino

You Belong to Me (Patsy Cline)

See the Pyramids along the Nile
Watch the sunrise on a tropic isle
Just remember darlin all the while
You belong to me

They are beautiful, mesmerizing, awesome, inspiring, deeply touching and a curiosity!
But the only one of the Ancient Wonders of the World left to see and we are seeing them! But it becomes a challenge because before you get out of the bus, there are vendors, very aggressive vendors, in your face vendors, that will touch you if they think they can talk you into buying something if they guide you. It is unbelievable, because you want to enjoy the scenery but cannot because you have to keep walking, don't look at the vendors, but they place themselves right in front of you and try to put the objects for sale in your hands, very frustrating I must say!

And if it wasn't enough to see the Pyramids and ride a camel, we decided to go into a Pyramid! I had talked about going into the Pyramids before we got there but with the heat, vendors and being tired I was going to decline but Travis was going so Carleigh and I got on the bandwagon too!!! No pictures because that was a rule no pictures inside the Pyramids!

  1. I'm sorry about the aggressive vendors. That would frustrate me too! And are you so glad you went into the pyramid? What was it like inside?

  2. Yes I am very glad we went into the pyramid, but there was nothing in there and in the one room, it was used, a lot, to pee in!!!!
