And Yes they are all so incredibly awesome! Even with the tons of tourists, all walking right for you, turning in front of you, behind you, or on the side of you. Hot and humid, the sun following you where ever you go. Men selling anything and everything in your face and in your space. All day and all night people, scooters, cars, taxis and more taxis, all there in your reality and your fantasies! Constantly moving constantly noisy, never at rest never at peace! Bombarded with light and sound at all times. But as I said it is worth it! Every old building, every old piazza, every significant historical church and sculpture, all of it! Restaurants and souvenir shops, gellato shops, tobacco shop, etc all over the place never ending and then you see a historic 2000 year old building and everything stops, no breathing, time stills, and you are in a different place and time. Slow motion until the sounds make you surface into reality again and it makes you sad because you are sure you felt someone or something from the past move by you. If only the moment could have lasted another second, you might have heard words or saw deeds from a different century. But you don't because you awaken from the dream, well maybe it was a dream!
