The Vatican Museum is huge and it goes on and on and on. The most beautiful treasures are there for all the world to see. You walk through floors and floors of artwork, sculptures and paintings on the walls on the ceilings, tapestries, every kind of art form imaginable and old centuries old and it is so close you can see it all. It is incredible! And all the time you are walking seeing the beauty around you, you know that you are drawing closer to the Sistine Chapel and that will be the most awesome sight there! And it is, we cannot take pictures so you will have to go there and see it but it will be well worth the trip. Michelangelo was a genius and there is so much to see and decipher and you try to hold each image in your mind to ponder it and to figure it out but by then you have moved on to the next image and the next and it is impossible to hold all those brilliantly painted images in your mind, but you want to. You don't want to let it go because you know you have seen something so unique and wonderful that you want to keep it in your minds eye!
