As you would guess The Acropolis was wonderful! What kind of battles, passions, discussions, (idolatry) played out here! It was great to be here and walk here. The Athenians are renovating the Parthenon and other temples on the Acropolis so we couldn't walk on the Parthenon :( But to see it was to believe it. The Parthenon was dedicated to their god Athena and it is beautiful. It stands over Athens and the Greeks believed she guarded their beautiful city. The views from the top are 360 degrees and amazing. The Sea shines blue just a few miles out of Athens. That is where we will catch our cruise very very soon!!!! But for now we are enjoying Athens!
